The Transformers have been a huge part of pop culture, especially that of the geek world. Transformers and comics have always had a huge relationship, with comic writers coming up with much of the back story and names of the current characters. There has been many comics that have accompanied the Transformers universe and to see them in real life on the big screen is a great treat for new and old fans of the robots in disguise.
