Summary:
The New Avengers:The New Avengers are Earth’s mightiest heroes, dedicated to stop large threats from destroying the Earth. They battle larger than life foes, with large ramifications if they fail. The New Avengers focuses on the conspiracy side of superheroes, being heavily involved with S.H.I.E.L.D., Earths super secret espionage organization.
The Mighty Avengers:
The Mighty Avengers is a new title that will be debuting soon. The Mighty Avengers, written by Brian Michael Bendis and with art by Frank Cho sees this group tackling, “…world threatening situations.” It looks to be a high octane style comic with large amounts of action. According to Bendis in an interview with Newsarama, “…fun is the word of the day.”
Ultimates
The Ultimates is a re-imaging of the Avengers for the Ultimate line of comics - comics that do away with continuity and retell the story of the comic book and is used to bring in new readers. The Ultimates is a much darker and gritty version of the Avengers. This version sees the Ultimates as agents of the top secret espionage organization S.H.I.E.L.D., with Nick Fury as the man in charge. The team has many problems, with infighting, suspicion, and paranoia about whom one can trust. Lately, the Black Widow and Hank Pym(Giant Man) have turned out to be traitors and are working for a world organization that has banded together to take down the Ultimates and America. Only Captain America and others from the Ultimates stand in their way.
Young Avengers:
The Young Avengers tells the tale of a group of young teen superheroes, modeled after some of the main Avengers such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk. The team was put together by The Vision, an android and long time Avenger as a contingency plan in case the original Avengers ever disappeared. The Young Avengers continue to work together, despite being refused by Captain America to train them without their parents consent.
