Interesting Fact:Mary Jane knew that Peter Parker was Spider-Man for quite some time. She finally revealed it to him in Amazing Spider-Man #258 after a battle with villain Puma.
Origin:Mary Jane Watson came from a severely troubled past. Her father was an abusive man, a writer who felt he had what it took to become a great writer, but inspiration always eluded him. He moved his family to teach at various colleges, hoping to find what it was that he was missing, all the while taking it out on his wife and two kids, Gayle and Mary Jane.
While she was visiting Peter one time, the villain Puma attacked Peter. Thinking quickly, Peter pushed Mary Jane out of the apartment and fought the villain as Spider-Man. When the battle was over, Mary Jane confessed that she had known he was Spider-Man all this time. Peter, struck with a newfound respect for her, accepted her as a confidante and renewed a relationship with her.
Although at first the relationship was just a friendly one, their history and past passions reignited and they fell in love. They soon married and began their life together.
Mary Jane and Peter Parker have been through a lot as a married couple. They became pregnant, but lost the baby during the infamous Clone Saga. Mary has been kidnapped and attacked by many of Spider-Man’s foes, but through it all, they have found a way to reconnect and find strength in each other.
Lately, Peter moved Mary Jane and his Aunt May into Stark Tower, when he went to work for Iron Man. Mary supported Peter’s choice to unmask, even though this would mean that her life would be in danger. She also supported him when Peter decided that the Superhero Registration Act was wrong and ended up siding with Captain America. Peter, Mary, and Aunt May are now on the run and in hiding, living in cheap motels until they can figure out their next move.
