How does the movie compare to the comic book?

Spider-Man 3 is a comic book movie that has broken box office records. It became the top grossing opening weekend with $148 million and also became the film with the biggest budget with $350 million. A very interesting start.

As with most movies, the source material is often changed to help the story of the film. Characters are changed to make them more appealing or to add some depth that might not be in the comic. Sometimes characters are merged together because to many wouldn't serve the story or make things to cluttered. In any case, characters, origins, and storylines are rarely kept close to the original source material.

Spider-Man 3 is no exception. The nice thing is that the main characters of Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and Aunt May are very much in line with the comic book. But some of the other characters however...not so much. Find out what has changed to bring this latest incarnation of the Spider-Man franchise to life.

Check out the chart below to see how the two compare.
