Story:

Sin City brings to life four of Frank Miller’s stories set in the universe that helped make him famous. The movie was a big hit and brought in a lot of dough over their $40 million budget. It was extremely close to the comic in all of its viciousness and sensuality.

Review:

Sin City is a great representation of how a comic can be brought to life on the screen. It was a great film, done in a great fashion that really played to the images of the comic. Marv, Nancy, Yellow Bastard, and the rest of the Sin City Crew are well portrayed here and the comic was well taken care of in this fantastic representation.

Teaser & Theatrical Trailer

Man this Blu-ray disc is exactly what I was looking for. I was worried that it would just be like the 2-Disc set that came out awhile ago but in Blu-ray high definition. It has all the special features of the original, but the few extra features truly make this a fantastic purchase.

First, the Blu-ray delivers in stunning high definition footage. The stark black and white footage is popped with color in such crisp detail that you just can’t get elsewhere. It is really fantastic and works so well with high def.

The Kill em’ Good interactive comic was pretty good, but some of the game aspects of it were fairly hokey. If this blu-ray was had just this extra bit, it would still be worth it, but the next new special feature took the cake for me.

The Cine-Explore feature has been by far one of my most favorite special features of a DVD to date. It has four different aspects of the movie at once. You get to view the movie, listen to the commentary by Miller and Rodriguez, view the green screen performances, and see panels from the comic all together. It is such a great presentation that truly enables you to see just how much they nailed the comic. Adding this experience took this Blu-ray and made it a must have for me and any other Sin City fan. You won’t be disappointed. The hilarious thing is that this Blu-ray is cheaper than the original 2-Disc set. You really can’t go wrong.
