The Justice League is DC Comics superteam that is comprised of the greatest superheroes of the DC Universe. The team was first put together in 1962 as a revamp of the Justice Society of America (JSA) and had in its roster Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, The Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. The three main heroes that are considered to be the core of JLA are Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The team has gone through many changes throughout the years, from changes in rosters, headquarters, additional titles and others. They first started out in a cave outside of a city named Happy Harbor. They went on to being housed in a satellite, a base on the moon, and were even harbored in Detroit City. Throughout this, the teams focus has generally been on facing large Earth threatening villains and plots that if the JLA didnt stop, threatened the entire DC universe.
The recent storylines of the comic has seen the JLA disbanded, their base on the moon destroyed, and their heroes mistrusting each other. The team is now in flux, with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman deciding to reform the Justice League and are now in the process of choosing a new lineup for the Justice League of America.
