Definition: In the world of webcomics, the term "update" is used to describe when a new webcomic is added to an internet site. Each time a new comic is added to the site, that is an update.
The term is also used when talking about how often the webcomic is updated. Most webcomics are updated two to three times a week and this fact is often part of the selling point for that comic. This information is prominanetly displayed on the main page of the site in a term like, "Updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!"
