Gag

By , About.com Guide

Definition: In webcomics, the term gag refers to a strip formulated around a punchline. Often in three and four panel strips, the gag is the last panel. This type of webcomic is the most prevalent style of webcomic and is modeled after the newspaper comic strips. Comics that do this as their normal style are referred to as gag-a-day strips.

Comics such as PVP, Penny Arcade, XKCD, and The Perry Bible Fellowship.
