Origin:
The Eternals are an offshoot of humanity that started over a million years ago. A group of space faring beings, known as the Celestials, who were so powerful that they could traverse through space without the aid of ships, came to earth to conduct experiments. Using their vast powers of cosmic energy, they created two offshoots of humanity, the Eternals and the Deviants. After this, Kronos dedicated himself to science. It was during one of his experiments with cosmic energy that there was an explosion, destroying Kronos body. The energy radiated out and awakened the cosmic energies that helped form the Eternals, giving them incredible powers. They were immortal, could fly, teleport, had incredible strength, among other powers, including telepathy, which they used to create the Uni-Mind, a collection of the consciousnesses of the Eternals, allowing them to act as one.
The Eternals continued to thrive and grow, building three other cities upon the earth. The civilization of the Eternals continued to get bigger under the leadership of the new leader, Zuras. This would change with the return of the Celestials.
The Celestials had come to judge their creations. Fearing the Eternals and the Earth would perish if they failed; Zuras rose up against the Celestials. The Celestials defeated the Eternals and killed Zuras, but spared the Eternals. The Eternals decided to leave Earth and formed the Uni-Mind, exploring space for new wonders and knowledge. A small contingent of Eternals stayed behind to protect Earth.
Lately, many of the Eternals have forgotten who they were and are living among humanity as mortals. Only their new leader, Ikaris seems to know who they are and is trying to help his fellow Eternals remember. The Deviants have kidnapped Ikaris and are trying to find a way to kill the Eternals leader. The fate of the Eternals hangs in the balance if they dont remember who they truly are. Only time will tell.
