Daredevil is a teen plus rated book.Summary:
Daredevil tells the tale of Matt Murdock, a blind man and lawyer. During his youth, he was blinded when he saved a blind man from being hit by a truck. As the truck swerved out of the way a container of radioactive material fell of the truck and hit young Matt in the face, blinding him. He would soon discover that somehow the radioactive material had also enhanced his other senses of smell, taste, touch, and hearing. He also had been imbued with a radar-like ability, allowing him to sense things all around him. Matt learned to control his abilities and also mastered skills in martial arts and acrobatics. He donned a mask to protect his beloved Hells Kitchen, which had fallen into bad times and had become a den of thieves and criminals. He also went to school and became a lawyer, hoping to serve justice inside of the court system and out. Now, Daredevil is, The man with no fear, fighting all who would prey upon the innocents in Hells Kitchen. He patrols the night, serving as a reminder that hope is not lost in their forsaken neighborhood. The series has often taken a much darker mood than many other Marvel comics. Drugs, prostitution, extortion, revenge, betrayal, and lust all permeate the series. Matt Murdock is a lone man fighting insurmountable odds as a lawyer in a corrupt system and as a vigilante battling insane and powerful super villains. Many writers have had acclaimed runs on the series by taking big chances. Most notably would be Frank Miller, who made Daredevil a superstar. Others of note would be Kevin Smith, Brian Michael Bendis, and Ed Brubaker.Publisher:
