It is quite ironic that Samuel L. Jackson is portraying Nick Fury. In the Ultimates, an "ultimate" alternate reality of the Marvel Universe, the Ultimate version of Nick Fury was modeled after Samuel L. Jackson. A lot of the costumes for these films were modeled after the Ultimates designs so it makes me smirk when I think of the looping effect going on here. At any rate, Mr. Jackson has done a great job of portraying the hard nose S.H.I.E.L.D. leader and it is great to see him in the role.
