The Chumscrubber?

If you are looking for a heavy presence from the Chumscrubber, you might be disappointed. The character is featured more in the background and only pops up when the kids are playing video games and watching TV. There was one scene with a kid reading a comic, and I was just assuming that it was a Chumscrubber comic. The character does come forth more near the end of the movie, but more as a vision to bring about a crisis point in Dean’s life.

Even then, I was not disappointed in the movie. I was thinking of the purpose of the Chumscrubber character and wonder if it isn’t a metaphor for what happens to some of the characters in the movie. Watch and see for yourself.

Conclusion

If your looking for a post apocalyptic movie about a teen carrying his own head and using it as a boomerang, then this movie might not be for you. If you are looking for an interesting flick that is trying to make a point about our pursuits and what really matters, then The Chumscrubber is going to be more up your alley. Then you can make your own predictions as to what the Chumscrubber character represents.

If you do go to the different websites, www.chumcomics.com or www.chumcscrubber.com, then spend some time searching for the easter eggs. They have all kinds of links to different sites hidden around. In my opinion, www.chumcomics.com is a pretty interesting thing, although there is nothing in the works for a Chumscrubber comic. It's sad really, who doesn't like post apocalyptic teens carrying their heads and using it to fight zombies just to stay alive. I know I do.
