Introduction:

Mostly known for it’s weird, dark, and quirky creator owned comic books, Slave Labor Graphics – SLG for short – has been a champion of the creator owned comic book for quite some time now. With successes like Milk and Cheese, Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, Lenore, and Gloomcookie, SLG has always pushed the boundaries with its dark humor. SLG is also representing Disney comics for such properties as Tron, Gargoyles, and Haunted Mansion.

The name of the company is SLG Publishing. We publish under a few different imprints, SLG being one (SLG stands for Slave Labor Graphics, which we also publish under) Amaze Ink and Club Tiki Press. We also have a toy company called Monkey Fun Toys.

Our most well known characters are Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Lenore and Milk & Cheese. We also publish a line of comics based on Disney characters including Tron and Gargoyles.

We are best known for offbeat and funny comics. A person would want to read our comics is they were looking for something entertaining and well-crafted.

History:

The company was founded in 1986 as an outlet for my (Dan Vado's) desire to write comics. Soon after people were submitting work for my consideration and I went from being a self-publisher to just a publisher.
