Geoff Johns has quickly become a go-to guy for DC comics. Johns started his rise to fame by creating the series, "Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E." His big break came in co-writing and then being the sole writer of the Justice Society of America. He took a group of second string heroes such as the Golden Age Green Lantern and Flash, Black Canary, and Dr. Fate and turned them into a top tier comic book team.It was his work on the Green Lantern mini-series Rebirth that Johns gained a wider fan base. The decision to bring back Hal Jordan as the one true Green Lantern was controversial and touchy move. Johns pulled it off however, and made Green Lantern a hot selling comic.
He is perhaps mostly know now for his work on Infinite Crisis a continuity altering event that was a sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths the mini-series that merged all of DCs garbled worlds into one cohesive universe. The series was a smash hit by fans and critics around, and Geoff Johns secured his place in comic book history for years to come.
Johns is now working on the Blade TV series and other DC comics such as the huge DC endeavor, "52."
