Bio:

Alex Ross first did some penciling and cover jobs for various companies, but it was his work on “Marvels,” with writer Kurt Busiek, that Alex Ross first came into the mainstream comic fans consciousness. “Marvels” told the story of the marvel universe through the eyes of one of its common citizens, a theme that Busiek, Ross, and penciler Brent Anderson would revisit often in the series Astro City.

It was with “Kingdom Come” a bleak alternative future of the DC universe with writer Mark Waid that Alex Ross became a top comic book artist and highly sought after creator. Ross helped to re-design many of the characters and the book won an Eisner Award for both Ross and Waid.

Alex Ross has continued to rise as a top industry comic book artist. He has accomplished various works such as “Superman: Peace on Earth” for DC and “Earth X” for Marvel. He does mostly covers due to the time consuming nature of his work. His latest work is in the series Justice by DC.
