Hulk Thirsty

Thursday May 22, 2008
With comic book movies becoming more and more popular, product tie-ins are inevitable. All of this is just marketing to sell more goods and put the movie into the limelight even more. Groups have even gone the subversive and viral marketing route, like The Dark Knight's Joker campaign and the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Sprite campaign. While walking into my local 7-11, I was greeted not with a big gulp, but with an, "Incredible Gulp." I thought it was humorous enough to pick it up. It seems you will find marketing in just about everything you do these days, and it only seems to be getting worse. At least this one was, in my opinion, a little creative. Hulk smash! Hulk thirsty! Hulk drink Big Gulp! What do you think, do you like seeing clever ideas like this one, or more viral campaigns to spread buzz? Which one is the most memorable to you? Post your comments below.
