Diamond Comics Profile

By November 30, 2012

Follow me on:

Diamond ComicsDiamond Comics is perhaps one of the biggest cogs in the machine that is the comic book industry. Without them, print comics would have a very difficult time getting to stores around the country. Things are changing with new distributors cropping up to help independent and self-published comics and the rise of digital publishing  has certainly reworked the print comic market, but the floppies we know and love are here to stay and will continue to need a way to get to our local comic shop. Read a profile of Diamond Comics and see what they do in relation to the whole scheme of things. Are they the big monopoly monster some say they are or are they just fulfilling a vital need in the world of comic books.

(1) Tim says:

Diamond Comics is a monopoly that is ran like a mafia organization. They can at will destroy any comic shop they want, any time they want. They messed mine over by sending books to my competition across town and then sending me the books two weeks later making them unsellable and as always non-returnable. This they did repeatedly. If it wasn’t for Diamond Comics distributors I would probably still be in the retail comics business.
