Reports are in from all over that a 53 year old woman died yesterday, a few hours before the doors opened for preview night. There are rumors floating around in some of the reports that the reason why she tripped and fell into oncoming traffic was that she was running back to get to Hall H to keep her spot in line. Whether these are true or not remains to be seen, but if it is, that just gives more credence to the idea of changes are in need for the infamous Hall H. The 6500 seat auditorium that holds the cons largest panels has a history of issues with people squatting through other panels just to see the one panel they traveled to see, making it very difficult for fans to get seats into the auditorium. There is also the issue that the auditorium isn't cleared after each panel (for time purposes I'm sure) just adding to this situation. It's all a very sad set of circumstances and my thoughts go out to her family. I think issues like this make an even stronger case for either a new location or much more space needed to accommodate the needs of Comic-Con International and I hope fans stay safe and think before they rush into things.
