When a movie based on comic book material gets released, its always interesting to see what gets published and created to tie into that movie. Blockbusters like Iron Man 2 have all kinds of tie-ins with toys, slurpee cups, and free comic books (I got one when I went to see the movie) to help generate buzz.
Some of the lesser known comic book properties, such as Surrogates and Losers, don't have the kind of budgets that these high profile films. Although it is pretty cool to think that mainstream comic properties have become elevated to the status of summer blockbuster. So when a comic based movie comes out and the publisher releases new content such as an original graphic novel (OGN), I think that is great.
Although No Way Back isn't perfect, it is a very nice tie in to the upcoming movie and should give fans of the film a nice jumping in point for the comics. Check out the full review on Jonah Hex: No Way Back.
