I was all set to blast Longbox Inc., for not having their software up and running, when I scoured the known places for all that is Longbox and found on their Twitter page that the Longbox public beta has been live for some time now. Boy is my face red. Not really, but I am glad to see the public beta finally going live for all to get in on it.
Touted as being the iTunes of the comic book world, Longbox Digital has been a long time coming. First announced at Heroescon in 2009 and said to be live in fall of that year, hungry fans waited, and waited, and continued to wait. Now we wait no more. Fans the world over can test drive the software and see how it fares. My initial thoughts will be coming later.
If you want to check out Longbox Digital, you can do so by going to their public beta download page.
