Things are already starting to ramp up with the first big comic book movie release for 2010. Iron Man 2 makes its way to theaters May 7th, which just happens to coincide with Free Comic Book Day, genius that they have been doing this recently I must say.
This time Iron Man 2 is full of even more new characters. It always worries me when comic book movies do this. Spider-Man 3 and X-Men 3 had a lot of trouble because of this in my opinion, and many other comic book movies as well. Filmmakers seem to suffer this issue with having to cram in as much as possible for sequels, but this isn't necessarily needed. I believe in Favreau, as he really took the fans and the comic seriously this last time around. I hope he doesn't suffer from an enlarged ego, but keeps it real and true to the spirit of the comic, something he did fabulously in the first Iron Man movie.
Regardless, take a look at the recently released images for Iron Man 2 and take a look for yourselves. Be sure more are coming as we get closer, so keep checking back.
