All kidding aside, it is pretty remarkable that we keep seeing these record breaking comics. The article mentioned above cites the growing price of these treasures coming from the fact that, "Some of today's most successful entrepreneurs were yesterday's comic geeks...". Now that they have the money, they don't want high priced art, they want the treasures from their past. Hence these record breaking sales. Coupled with the economy driving commodities higher and the environment is ripe for comics like these to continue to rise in price. We've already broken the one million point. How soon until we reach two?
