Image sent out a clever PR showcasing their announcements at Wondercon. I thought it was a great idea to help spread the word to those that couldn't make the convention (me included). Here are some of the highlights.
Frank Cho's New Series: Frank Cho annaounced a new miniseries with co-writer Doug Murray, and art by newcomer Alex Medellin. The series is entitled 50 Girl 50. While I was excited to hear about a new series by Cho, I was honestly a bit sad to hear he wouldn't be drawing it.
Officer Downe with Joe Casey: Joe Casey also announced a new one shot entitled Officer Downe. It's about, "A lone Badass With A Badge takes on the scourge of the criminal underworld, and this is one cop that'll keep coming back for more...even from beyond the grave!" Sounds like it will be an interesting read.
Elephantmen Optioned: Richard Starkings announced that his series, Elephantmen, was optioned for the silver screen. Done right, this could be one killer flick. Here's to hoping for a big budget or extremely talented CG crew.
Conventions are great, but can be an isolated place for news information. I dug the concept of keeping us all in the loop with a press release like this. Something I can get behind.
