Lettering With Todd Klein

Saw a link about this over at the Newsarama blog and thought I'd share it here. Todd Klein is one of the premiere letterers in the business. He has won thirteen of the last Eisner Awards for lettering and eight Harvey Awards for lettering. He has also created over 100 fonts for the lettering process for his personal use.

Getting the chance to see into the mind of a great artist is always neat and Todd has a set of blogs about a print that he collaborated on with Alex Ross. This is the third print he has created, the first being with writer Alan Moore and the Second with writer Neil Gaiman. I'm always a sucker for seeing behind the scenes material and this one doesn't disappoint. Sometimes just seeing the process that a comic creator has to go through can give a new appreciation for how comic books are made. They aren't for sale yet and only 500 have been made.
