The Spirit - First Production Stills

Fresh of the press is some sweet production stills of the upcoming Frank Miller helmed move, Will Eisner's The Spirit. This is Franks first solo project of directing and if he can follow in the footsteps of Sin City and 300, then count me in. I really felt that those two movies were very much true to the original and it seems that since Frank Miller feels so strongly about this comic, that he will do the same.

First we have Samuel Jackson as the villain Octopus. This is a "funeral" scene and it very much looks like Frank is going the green screen route that he and co-director Robert Rodriguez cooked up with Sin City. I personally enjoyed the way it worked in Sin City so it should be good here. Next up is Scarlett Johansson as Silken Floss. Both look very stylish and have that comic noir feel.
