The Stumptown Comics Fest is a local Portland, Oregon comic show that has quickly grown from 150 attendees in it's first year to over 1000 expected attendees this year. The convention was first thrown together in a mad four month dash with a mission to spotlight small press creators and has continued to do so year after year. This year sees some pretty big names at the fest, such as Brian Michael Bendis, Mike Richardson, and Scott McCloud as fest guests. If you didn't know, Portland, Oregon is one of the hottest comics towns in the States and continues to grow as more and more creators move here and start their comics profession in this balmy, rainy, and creative northwest city.
